Job Description


As a Security Officer - Armed Industrial Patrol in Ladson, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while providing exceptional customer service and communication. This position requires carrying a firearm and operating a vehicle as part of your daily responsibilities, making it ideal for those seeking an engaging, hands-on role where teamwork, reliability, and integrity are valued every day.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the manufacturing and industrial location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity, security-related incidents, or hazards to the appropriate personnel.
  • Collaborate with site staff and/or law enforcement as needed during incidents or emergencies.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patrols, incidents, and other security-related activities as required by site protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A minimum of one year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
  • A minimum of one year of security-related experience is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
