As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing a strong, visible presence. This role requires you to carry a firearm and operate a vehicle as part of your daily duties. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors at retail locations by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing training and sound judgment to address each situation appropriately.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas within the retail environment to help to deter theft, property damage, and/or other prohibited activities.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or concerns according to Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
  • Collaborate with retail staff and local law enforcement as needed to address security-related issues and support a secure environment for customers and employees.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter potential disturbances and provide reassurance to patrons and staff.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or 5 years of armed security-related experience. 
  • Possess an armed guard card or license as required by applicable laws and regulations.
  • Hold a Level III armed certification if located in Texas.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
