As a Security Officer - Retail Site - Weekends in Reno, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing exceptional customer service. Your visible presence supports a welcoming environment for guests and staff. This is a driving post, so you will conduct mobile patrols as part of your responsibilities. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and support a secure environment.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas within the retail setting to help to deter theft and unauthorized access.
  • Document and report any unusual incidents, property damage, or suspicious activity according to company and client protocols.
  • Collaborate with site management and local authorities as needed to address security-related concerns.
  • Assist with crowd management and/or access control during peak hours or special events within the location.
  • Remain visible and approachable to provide assistance to customers and staff as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
