Job Description


As a Security Officer - Healthcare Campus Patrol in Fishersville, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and contributing to a secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Your presence and exceptional customer service will support a welcoming atmosphere, while your communication skills and teamwork reflect our commitment to putting people first and acting with integrity.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations within the healthcare environment in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and support a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns within the location.
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff and local authorities as needed during incidents and/or emergencies.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of all incidents, patrols, and security-related activities.
  • Assist in access control by monitoring entrances and exits to help to deter unauthorized entry.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Pepper spray certification is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Guard card or license is preferred.
  • Comfortable using computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
