As a Security Officer - Retail Patrol Driver Unarmed in Cupertino, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents and maintain a welcoming atmosphere at retail and mall locations. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible throughout the property, and provide outstanding customer service while responding to situations as they arise, all while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and innovation.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a secure environment.
• Observe and report any unusual activities or potential threats within the location, promptly communicating with Allied Universal management and/or local authorities as needed.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and helping to manage the flow of people within the location.
• Support emergency response efforts by following established protocols and providing guidance to clients, visitors, and staff during incidents.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
