As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a residential location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entrances, conducting routine patrols, and providing a visible presence throughout the community. What You'll Do:

• Provide excellent customer service to residents, guests, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and responding to inquiries in a courteous manner.
• Monitor access points to the residential community, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized individuals while helping to deter unauthorized access.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for residential locations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the community and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify any security-related concerns.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of access control activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and site-specific policies.
• Communicate with residents, guests, and property management regarding security-related matters and escalate concerns as needed.
• Assist with emergency response activities and coordinate with local authorities when necessary, following site-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• At least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
• At least 1 year of law enforcement experience, or 2 years of security supervisor or manager experience, or 3 years of security experience is required.
• An armed guard card or license is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
