What You'll Do:

  • Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials of personnel and visitors in accordance with site-specific policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for chemical and petrochemical environments.
  • Provide customer service by assisting employees, contractors, and visitors with security-related inquiries and directions.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences to Allied Universal management and site contacts as required.
  • Support emergency response activities when appropriate, such as assisting with evacuations or coordinating with first responders.
  • Maintain awareness of the unique risks and requirements associated with chemical and petrochemical locations while carrying out assigned duties.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
