What You'll Do:

• Assist with access control procedures by verifying credentials of individuals entering and exiting the chemical and petrochemical facility.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and responding to inquiries.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to observe and report on security-related matters.
• Document and report any unusual activities, security-related breaches, or hazards in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific policies.
• Support emergency response activities as required, including assisting with evacuations or lockdowns as directed by site management.
• Maintain awareness of the unique hazards and procedures associated with a chemical and petrochemical environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
