Job Description


As a Security Officer - Armed Government Site Driver in Wauchula, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Patrol Armed Officer, where you will monitor and patrol government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing outstanding customer service. This role requires both armed and driving responsibilities as you conduct routine patrols and remain visible throughout your assigned area. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing training and protocols as required.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with site staff, visitors, and law enforcement as necessary.
  • Document observations, incidents, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal protocols.
  • Remain alert to unusual activities and promptly report concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with access control and verification of credentials for individuals entering restricted areas.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or a college degree is required.
  • Graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
