What You'll Do:

  • Assist with access control procedures at the healthcare location, verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering the premises.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Provide customer service by assisting patients, visitors, and staff with directions and information as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for healthcare environments.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility and surrounding perimeter to observe and report security-related concerns.
  • Document and report any unusual activity, security-related incidents, or maintenance needs to appropriate personnel and/or Allied Universal management.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare staff and other personnel to support a secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
