As an Armed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a reassuring presence. This role requires both driving and carrying a firearm as part of your daily responsibilities. You will interact with staff, patients, and visitors, delivering exceptional customer service and communication while embodying Allied Universal's values of reliability, teamwork, and integrity.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using sound judgment and communication skills.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the healthcare location and its perimeter, monitoring for unusual activity and helping to deter potential security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and verify the identification of individuals entering restricted areas, helping to maintain a secure environment.
  • Document and report security-related incidents and observations according to Allied Universal protocols and site requirements.
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff and first responders as needed to address emergencies and/or incidents.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted activity and provide reassurance to staff, patients, and visitors.
  • Handle security-related equipment responsibly, including firearms, in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A valid armed guard card or license is required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required as requested by the client.
  • At least six months of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
