As a Security Officer - Armed Utilities Patrol Full-Time in Jacksonville, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal at a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while upholding a visible presence. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols and providing outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter, including utility infrastructure areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or potential threats.
• Monitor and control access to restricted areas, verifying credentials as required for entry to sensitive utility locations.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations in accordance with Allied Universal and client protocols.
• Communicate and collaborate with site personnel and emergency responders during incidents and/or emergencies.
• Remain alert and attentive throughout assigned shifts, identifying and reporting security-related hazards or suspicious behavior.
• Adhere to all Allied Universal and client policies, including those related to the carrying and use of firearms, while performing patrol duties.

Minimum Requirements:

• An armed guard card or license is required.
• Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
• Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
