As a Security Officer - Utilities Access Control in Debary, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer specializing in access control for a leading utilities location, you will monitor entrances, check badges, and conduct routine patrols to help to deter security-related incidents. Your visible presence and commitment to exceptional customer service will create a welcoming atmosphere while upholding our values of integrity, teamwork, and innovation. This is a driving post and will require a valid driver's license as you support the secure operations of critical infrastructure.

What You'll Do:

• Manage access control procedures at the location, verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access.
• Provide customer service by assisting individuals with questions regarding access protocols and site-specific policies.
• Monitor security-related systems such as surveillance cameras and alarms to identify and report unusual activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for the location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter potential security-related issues.
• Document observations, incidents, and security-related activities in daily reports as required by site procedures.
• Collaborate with Allied Universal management and site personnel to communicate security-related concerns and/or hazards as they arise.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possession of a Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
