As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a dynamic retail mall location, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents. You will interact with visitors and tenants, provide outstanding customer service, and support a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting with retail and mall-specific needs.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Observe and report any security-related irregularities or suspicious activity within the location.
  • Support access control and visitor management processes as required by site procedures.
  • Assist with crowd management and help to maintain a welcoming environment for all patrons and tenants.
  • Work collaboratively with Allied Universal team members and site personnel to address security-related concerns and provide support as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
