As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol Full Time - Government in Las Vegas, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at this government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and create a welcoming environment. Your visible presence and professionalism will support a positive atmosphere while you respond to incidents and provide outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe conditions.
  • Monitor for unusual activity and report any security-related concerns or incidents according to site procedures.
  • Interact professionally with staff, visitors, and members of the public while maintaining a visible presence.
  • Operate as an armed security professional, maintaining awareness of surroundings and following all applicable laws and policies.
  • Support access control procedures, checking credentials and helping to manage entry points as required.
  • Complete detailed incident reports and daily activity logs as directed by Allied Universal and site management.
  • Participate in emergency response actions, including evacuations and other protocols specific to the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
