What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the campus and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor and control access to buildings and restricted areas, verifying identification and maintaining a visible presence.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs and reports of daily activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences.
  • Collaborate with campus personnel and local authorities as needed to address security-related concerns and/or emergencies.
  • Remain alert and prepared to respond to various situations that may arise in an education environment, including but not limited to disturbances, medical emergencies, and/or property damage.
  • Carry and maintain proficiency with assigned firearms and other security-related equipment as required for an armed patrol position.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
  • Possess a Level III Armed Certification for Texas only.
  • CPR Certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
