Job Description


As a Security Professional - Industrial Access Specialist in York, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a leading manufacturing and industrial location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entry points, conducting routine patrols, and remaining highly visible throughout the facility. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering or exiting the premises to help to deter unauthorized access.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to observe and report any unusual activity or potential security-related concerns.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities as required by Allied Universal and client protocols.
  • Support emergency response activities when appropriate, including assisting with evacuations or other site-specific procedures.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential security-related issues and provide reassurance to employees and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
