What You'll Do:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing de-escalation techniques when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate records of incidents, observations, and daily activities as required by Allied Universal and client policies.
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff and local law enforcement as needed to support a secure environment for patients, visitors, and employees.
  • Remain alert and prepared to respond quickly to alarms, emergencies, and/or requests for assistance while carrying a firearm in accordance with company and legal guidelines.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development related to security-related procedures, emergency response, and customer service in a healthcare setting.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
