Job Description


As a Security Officer - Manufacturing Patrol in Duncan, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and foster a secure environment. Your visible presence and routine patrols will support a welcoming atmosphere, while your strong communication and customer service skills will help you address concerns and provide assistance to employees and visitors. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergencies when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain a secure environment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor the manufacturing and industrial location for unusual activity and report findings according to Allied Universal guidelines.
  • Assist with access control by verifying credentials and/or authorizing entry as required by site procedures.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents or hazards encountered during patrols or while on post.
  • Support emergency response efforts by following established protocols and communicating with site personnel and Allied Universal management as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
