As a Security Officer - Armed Residential Patrol in Coral Gables, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a residential location, you will actively monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a visible presence. This position requires both armed and driving responsibilities. You will interact with residents and guests, providing outstanding customer service and communication while upholding the values of Allied Universal—delivering through teamwork, integrity, and a caring approach to every interaction.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to residents and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the residential community and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor entrances, common areas, and other designated locations to help to deter trespassing and/or unauthorized access.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of incidents, observations, and activities during each shift.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders when required.
  • Remain alert and aware of surroundings while performing assigned duties to help to deter potential security-related issues.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or General Education Diploma is required by the client.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
