As a Security Officer - Armed Hospital Patrol in Boston, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain visible throughout the facility to help deter security-related incidents. Your presence will support a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors. This role requires carrying a concealed weapon, and you will provide exceptional customer service and communication in line with our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, prioritizing the well-being of individuals within the healthcare location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain order within the healthcare location.
• Report and document any unusual or suspicious activity, security-related incidents, or hazards according to Allied Universal and site protocols.
• Support healthcare staff and visitors by providing guidance and assistance as needed, while maintaining a visible and approachable presence.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency services as required during critical incidents or emergencies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid concealed carry weapons permit.
• Meet hospital vaccine requirements as specified by the client and/or site.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
