As a Security Guard - Armed Education Patrol Full-Time in Jacksonville, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at an education location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and promote a secure environment for students, staff, and visitors. Your presence and professionalism will contribute to a positive atmosphere, while you provide exceptional customer service and clear communication. This is an armed post, requiring you to uphold the highest standards of integrity and teamwork as you help maintain order and support the community in alignment with Allied Universal's values.

What You'll Do:

• Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies in accordance with Allied Universal guidelines, providing customer service to staff, students, and visitors.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate emergency response protocols as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the educational facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Observe and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual circumstances to the appropriate personnel.
• Collaborate with law enforcement and/or emergency responders when required by the situation at the location.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disruptions and/or threats within the educational environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
• An armed guard card or armed license is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
