Job Description


As a Security Officer - Distribution Center Entry in Edwardsville, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help deter security-related incidents. Your visible presence and commitment to exceptional customer service will foster a secure environment for all personnel and visitors. What You'll Do:

  • Control access to the location by verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points.
  • Assist with visitor and vehicle management, maintaining accurate logs and records as required.
  • Provide customer service by addressing questions and guiding individuals within the logistics and distribution environment.
  • Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to observe and report any unusual conditions.
  • Support emergency response activities as appropriate for the logistics and distribution setting.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
