As a Security Officer - Retail Foot Patrol in Newport Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a retail or mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure environment for tenants and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall location and along the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a secure environment.
• Observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel in accordance with Allied Universal protocols.
• Assist with access control and monitor entry points to help to deter unauthorized entry to restricted areas within the location.
• Communicate with local law enforcement or emergency services as needed during incidents or emergencies.
• Complete detailed and accurate reports regarding incidents, observations, and daily activities as required by Allied Universal and site management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
