As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and responding to situations as needed. This role requires you to be armed and operate a vehicle as part of your patrol duties. You will interact with the public, provide outstanding customer service, and contribute to a secure environment through teamwork, integrity, and a people-first approach.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior. Working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering restricted areas.
  • Observe and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual activity to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist law enforcement and emergency personnel as needed during incidents on location.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports regarding daily patrols, incidents, and other security-related activities.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disruptions and promote a secure environment at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Have 1 or more years of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
