As a Security Officer Flex - Utilities Patrol in Nashville, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As a Flex Part-Time Security Officer, you’ll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and Pick up open shifts based on your availability—giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol utility locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible throughout your assigned area. You will engage with visitors and staff, provide exceptional customer service, and respond to security-related concerns as they arise. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the utilities location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Observe and report any suspicious behavior, hazards, or unusual situations encountered during patrols.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with team members, visitors, and/or employees at the location.
  • Assist in controlling access points and help to deter unauthorized entry to restricted areas.
  • Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and promptly as directed by Allied Universal policies.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
