Job Description


As a Security Officer - Armed Community Campus in Las Vegas, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a strong, visible presence. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, providing exceptional customer service, and supporting a secure environment for all individuals on site. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the government facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Communicate and collaborate with site staff and local law enforcement as needed.
  • Prepare detailed and accurate incident reports and maintain daily activity logs.
  • Remain alert and observant throughout the shift to promptly address security-related concerns.
  • Follow all Allied Universal and client-specific protocols regarding the handling and carrying of firearms while on duty.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
