As a Security Guard - Unarmed Property Patrol - Full-Time in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a dynamic commercial real estate location, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and/or security-related incidents. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
• Observe and report any suspicious activities, hazards, or irregularities encountered during patrols.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and staff while on duty.
• Follow post orders and instructions provided by Allied Universal and site management.
• Assist with access control and visitor management as required by site policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
