As a Security Officer - Commercial Patrols PT in Nottingham, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols throughout a commercial real estate location. Your visible presence will support a secure environment while you deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for patrolling the property by vehicle as well as on foot, exemplifying our values of integrity, teamwork, and a people-first approach.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, guests, and tenants by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the commercial real estate location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business property and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for any unusual circumstances.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious behavior to the appropriate personnel.
  • Document all incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
  • Assist with emergency response activities as needed, including guiding occupants and/or coordinating with emergency responders.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter potential issues and provide reassurance to tenants and guests.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
