What You'll Do:

  • Monitor and manage communications for the location, including receiving and dispatching calls for service and/or assistance.
  • Document and track incidents, activities, and requests for service in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Coordinate responses to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Provide customer service by supporting staff, visitors, and/or patients with security-related needs and information.
  • Assist in controlling access to the location by monitoring entry points and verifying credentials as required.
  • Communicate with Allied Universal personnel and local emergency services as needed to relay information and support coordinated responses.
  • Support site-specific policies and procedures, adapting to the unique needs of the healthcare environment.
  • Maintain awareness of surroundings and report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Vaccinations are required for work in hospital environments.
  • At least six months of security-related experience is required.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
