As a Security Professional - Armed Government Patrol in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will actively monitor and patrol government locations to help maintain a secure environment for all visitors and staff. This role requires both armed and driving responsibilities, as you conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and respond to situations as needed. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using sound judgment and following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other designated areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious behavior.
  • Maintain a visible presence while on patrol, interacting professionally with visitors, staff, and/or members of the public as needed.
  • Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and/or actions taken in accordance with Allied Universal policies and client requirements.
  • Assist law enforcement and emergency responders on-site as needed, providing information and support during critical situations.
  • Participate in ongoing training and maintain required certifications for armed security-related duties.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • An armed guard card or armed license is required.
  • A minimum of six months of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience is required.
  • Level III armed certification is required for roles in Texas.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
