Job Description


As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol Driver in Land O Lakes, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Patrol Armed Officer, where you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents within a government location. What You'll Do:

  • Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies while providing excellent customer service to all individuals at the government location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate emergency response protocols as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify any potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering and exiting the location to support a secure environment.
  • Report and document any security-related incidents, suspicious activities, or hazards promptly to the appropriate authorities and Allied Universal management.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the assigned area to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a sense of order.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency personnel as required during incidents or investigations.
  • Remain alert and prepared to respond to any security-related concerns or emergencies that may arise during the shift.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Graduate of law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Two or more years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
