Job Description


As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Banking in Jacksonville, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned financial institution locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. You will interact with clients and visitors, offering exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide excellent customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using sound judgment.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location, including both interior and perimeter areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or breaches.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter criminal activity and/or potential threats within the financial institution environment.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports on incidents, observations, and daily activities as required by Allied Universal and the client site.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency response personnel when necessary.
  • Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and Allied Universal protocols regarding the carrying and use of firearms while on duty.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Have access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Have customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
