Job Description


As a Security Officer - Retail Patrol Driver Full-Time in Memphis, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents through regular patrols and high visibility within a dynamic retail and mall environment. This primarily driving post involves monitoring assigned areas, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining open communication with guests and staff. You will play a key role in fostering a welcoming atmosphere while upholding Allied Universal's values of teamwork, reliability, and integrity. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including responding to emergencies when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations at the retail or mall location in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall environment and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to observe for unusual or suspicious activity and report findings to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with access control by verifying credentials and directing visitors as needed.
  • Document and report any incidents, hazards, or maintenance concerns encountered during patrols.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary, following established protocols.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal team members.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
