As a Security Professional - Armed Government Patrol 21+ in Washington, DC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing training and sound judgment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the assigned location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential risks and provide reassurance to employees, visitors, and the public.
  • Carry and responsibly handle authorized firearms in accordance with site-specific policies and training requirements.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or activity within the location.
  • Prepare detailed reports on incidents, observations, and patrol activities as required by Allied Universal and site management.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary, following proper protocols.
  • Assist with access control, visitor management, and/or screening processes as directed by site-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
