What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as required.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering and exiting the location to help to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and its perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and maintenance issues to Allied Universal management and/or client representatives as appropriate.
  • Assist visitors, employees, and contractors with directions and information related to access control procedures.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders when necessary, according to site-specific guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
