What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, responding to emergency situations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor the premises for any unusual or suspicious activity and report findings as required.
  • Assist visitors, employees, and/or members of the public with inquiries and directions as needed.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders when necessary.
  • Document all incidents, activities, and observations accurately in daily reports according to site protocols.
  • Comply with all site-specific policies, procedures, and regulations while carrying out assigned duties.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a DD214 with Honorable Discharge or an Associates Degree or 60 College Credits or a Police Academy Certificate or a Corrections Academy Certificate.
  • Handcuffing Certification is preferred.
  • An Armed Guard Card or License is preferred.
  • A State, County, or City Issued Security License is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
