As a Security Guard - Armed Government Patrols Part-Time in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. This armed position involves conducting routine patrols, responding to situations as needed, and providing outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or breaches.
  • Prepare detailed and accurate incident reports and maintain logs of daily activities as required by site protocols.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency personnel as needed during incidents or critical events.
  • Remain alert and observant to help to deter potential threats or hazards within the government facility.
  • Participate in ongoing training and maintain all required certifications for armed patrol duties.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Applicants must provide a DD214 with Honorable Discharge or an Associate's Degree or 60 college credits or a Police Academy Certificate or a Corrections Academy Certificate.
  • An Armed Guard Card or License is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Handcuffing certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
