As a Security Officer - Defense Dispatch in Goleta, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As a Dispatch Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in monitoring and coordinating security-related activities at a leading aerospace and defense location. You will manage communications, respond promptly to incidents, and support field teams to help deter security-related issues. What You'll Do:

  • Monitor and manage incoming and outgoing communications at the dispatch center, maintaining accurate records of all activity.
  • Coordinate responses to incidents and critical situations, relaying information to appropriate personnel in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Follow site-specific policies and procedures relevant to an aerospace and defense location.
  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or employees by addressing inquiries and directing them as needed.
  • Assist with emergency response activities by communicating vital information to on-site teams and local authorities when appropriate.
  • Maintain logs and reports of dispatch activities and incidents as required by Allied Universal and client protocols.
  • Support the security-related operations of the location by monitoring alarms, surveillance systems, and/or access control systems.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with team members and other departments to help to deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
