Job Description


As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol Inspector in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol government locations, providing a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, responding to incidents, and delivering outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide professional customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including responding to emergencies as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations within the location in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or security-related incidents.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas to help to deter and report any suspicious behavior or activities.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of observations, incidents, and/or actions taken during patrols and while on duty.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement and/or emergency personnel as needed, following established protocols for government locations.
  • Enforce access control procedures to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or activity within restricted areas.
  • Remain alert and attentive to surroundings, reporting any potential hazards or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must provide DD214 with honorable discharge or associate degree or 60 college credits or police academy certificate or corrections academy certificate.
  • State, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
