Job Description


As a Security Officer - Armed Chemical Patrol in Midland, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned chemical and petrochemical locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. This is both an armed and driving post, where you will respond to situations as needed and provide exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate communication and de-escalation techniques.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, checking credentials and controlling access to restricted areas as required.
  • Complete detailed reports on incidents, observations, and daily activities in accordance with Allied Universal standards.
  • Collaborate with site personnel and/or law enforcement when appropriate to manage incidents or emergencies.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the chemical and petrochemical location to help to deter unwanted activity and provide reassurance to employees and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • At least one year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
  • You must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Level III armed certification is required for positions in Texas.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
