Job Description


As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrols Full-Time in Deerfield Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal serving a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help to deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. Your presence and professionalism will contribute to a welcoming atmosphere while delivering exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, providing customer service to clients and visitors at the location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including emergencies that may arise within the government facility.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the premises and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a secure environment.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points, verifying authorization of individuals entering the government facility.
  • Document observations, incidents, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site protocols.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when required, assisting with incident resolution as needed.
  • Remain alert to potential threats and report any suspicious activities or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain a professional presence while interacting with staff, visitors, and the public, upholding the standards of Allied Universal at all times.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
  • Have at least 5 years of security-related experience.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
