As a Security Officer - Retail Mall Patrol Driver in Joliet, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Officer in a retail environment, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure atmosphere for all visitors and staff. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while you provide excellent customer service and clear communication. This is a driving post, requiring you to navigate the location to support a welcoming and protected environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Observe for signs of suspicious behavior or incidents and report findings according to site protocols.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits as required.
• Support loss prevention efforts by maintaining a visible presence within the retail environment.
• Collaborate with store management and local authorities as needed to address security-related concerns.
• Complete detailed and accurate reports on all incidents and activities during each shift.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• Primarily driving post experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
