Job Description


As a Security Professional – Hospital Patrol Specialist in Wexford, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare environment, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure and welcoming atmosphere for staff, patients, and visitors. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols throughout the location, providing visible support to help to deter security-related incidents, and responding professionally to various situations. You will also deliver outstanding customer service and communicate clearly with everyone you encounter, reflecting Allied Universal's values of teamwork, integrity, and a people-first approach.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies within a healthcare environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical emergencies and disturbances.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and support a secure environment.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain order.
  • Assist with access control procedures, including verifying identification and/or credentials as required by site protocols.
  • Report and document any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual activity according to site and Allied Universal guidelines.
  • Support emergency response activities as needed, including assisting with evacuations or providing directions during critical events.
  • Collaborate with facility staff and local authorities as needed to address security-related concerns and maintain a welcoming atmosphere for patients, visitors, and employees.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Hospital vaccine requirements must be met.
  • Must be able to work in a hospital morgue environment.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals as required in a hospital setting.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
