As a Security Officer - Flex Campus Patrol in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in an educational setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas on campus, remaining highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, interact with students, staff, and visitors, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify potential issues.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns encountered during patrols or while on duty.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits to help to deter unauthorized individuals from entering restricted areas.
  • Communicate promptly and clearly with Allied Universal management and/or client representatives regarding incidents or concerns.
  • Support emergency response protocols by providing guidance and coordination during drills or actual events as directed by Allied Universal or site leadership.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter unwanted activity and foster a sense of security for students, staff, and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Able to ride a bike.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
