Job Description


As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driver Full-Time in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a dynamic retail environment, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting patrols and maintaining a visible presence throughout the location. This role requires you to be armed and to drive as part of your daily responsibilities. You will interact with visitors and staff, providing outstanding customer service and clear communication while upholding our values of integrity, teamwork, and putting people first. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using sound judgment and following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a secure environment.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help to deter and report suspicious behavior or unauthorized access.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and employees while maintaining a visible Allied Universal presence.
  • Document incidents, observations, and any relevant activities during patrols, submitting reports as required by site procedures.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services during incidents or as directed by site management.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess an armed guard card or license as required by law.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a Level III armed certification if applying in Texas.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
