As a Security Officer - Healthcare Patrol Driver in Springfield, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors. This position requires driving as part of your duties. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies within the healthcare environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for healthcare locations.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify any unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a visible presence.
  • Observe and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or suspicious activity to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with emergency response activities as directed, supporting medical staff and first responders as needed.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs and reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations.
  • Provide directions and assistance to patients, visitors, and staff as needed, supporting a welcoming environment within the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
