As a Security Guard  - Armed Retail Site - Full Time in Spring, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment within a retail location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, remaining highly visible to provide reassurance to staff and visitors, and delivering outstanding customer service. This is an armed and driving position, so you will be equipped to respond promptly to situations as they arise. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate protocols for an armed patrol position.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
• Monitor for suspicious behavior or activities and report findings according to established procedures.
• Assist with access control and verify credentials of individuals entering restricted areas within the location.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency responders when required.
• Complete detailed and accurate reports regarding daily activities, observations, and incidents encountered during patrols.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter theft, vandalism, or other unwanted activity in the retail environment.
• Follow all Allied Universal and site-specific protocols regarding the carrying and use of firearms while on duty.

Minimum Requirements:

• An armed guard card or license is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
