As a Security Officer - Flex Logistics Access Control in Buford, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining order at a logistics and distribution location. Your responsibilities include monitoring access points, conducting routine patrols, and remaining visible to support a secure environment. You will also interact with visitors and staff, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license in the job state is required. What You'll Do:

  • Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel, visitors, and vehicles in accordance with site-specific policies.
  • Provide customer service to all individuals at the location by carrying out security-related procedures and responding to inquiries in a professional manner.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating when necessary per established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify security-related issues.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or irregularities in accordance with Allied Universal and client procedures.
  • Support emergency response activities when appropriate, following site-specific guidelines and instructions from management.
  • Collaborate with site staff and Allied Universal team members to maintain an orderly and secure environment at the logistics and distribution location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
