What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, faculty, students, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations at the education location in a calm, problem-solving manner, seeking assistance when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the campus buildings and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
• Observe and report any unusual conditions, hazards, or activities encountered during patrols to Allied Universal management and/or client representatives as required.
• Assist in access control by monitoring entrances, exits, and restricted areas, helping to verify identification and authorization as needed.
• Document and report all incidents, accidents, or security-related matters according to Allied Universal and client protocols.
• Provide visible presence to help to deter potential disruptions and offer assistance to individuals as needed throughout the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
